In order to become a dentist, you must go to college, and graduate from college. After college, they must go to an undergraduate school and graduate. When you go to this undergraduate school, a degree is necessary to graduate from the school. Some of the best degrees to choose which will increase your chances of becoming a dentist are: biochemistry, physics, molecular biology, biological science, biomedical engineering, biomedical sciences, biomedical engineering, physiological sciences, chemistry, pre-dentistry sciences, and introductory sociology. Furthermore, dentists also rank as number 11 on the list of the best paying jobs. And, to make your life easier when you search up the benefits of being a dentist, US News actually ranked the different aspects of being a dentist so you don’t have to look at multiple sources. Dentists scored a 9.9 out of 10 in terms of salary, 10 out of 10 in terms of job availability, a 6 out of 10 in terms of stress, an 8 out of 10 in terms of work life balance, and a 7.7 out of 10 in terms of overall ranking.

In addition, dentists can do a lot for the communities that they serve. Dentists can help their patients a lot with their self image because when dentists fix patients’ teeth, it can help their self esteem and help them to feel more confident. Dentists can also help their patients to feel better physically. When someone has a rotten tooth or cavity, their mouth can be painful. By fixing their patients’ teeth, dentists can help to relieve their patients’ pain.

Overall, in order to become a dentist, someone has to go to school for many years. However, after going to school and becoming certified for being a dentist, there are many benefits to being a dentist which definitely overweigh the time it takes to become one.
